"Oh my god! You shoot porn!?"
A lot of people have a problem with the word pornography.
Everyone's definition differs; one man's art is often another man's porn. But generally it seems, most people have an idea of what they personally consider "acceptable" or "tasteful", and anything beyond that is often described as "porn".
That's not what we think.
Here at nomohi we believe pornography is a general term, one that describes any kind of erotica, be it moving or still, photographic, illustrated or even written down.
You don't have to use the word porn if you don't like it - you can always substitute it with "sexy". And a lot of people will admit, maybe even most people, that they enjoy feeling sexy or looking at "sexy" photos. It makes them feel nice. And so long as no one's getting hurt, we believe that's fine and healthy.
Why then, does a large percentage of the adult entertainment industry, insist on giving itself such a sleazy image? You'll often see magazines, websites or films describing their content as "nasty". Sometimes nasty is a euphemism for "explicit". A lot of times however, it's just plain nasty.
We strongly believe that this negative image is damaging for the adult entertainment industry, the people in the industry, and ultimately it's consumers.
We believe that this approach is juvenile and irresponsible.
That's why here at nomohi, we create pornography for grown ups.
We're in a new century now. We're comfortable with the way we're wired.
It's ok to look at sexy pictures. And it's ok to be in sexy pictures.
There's no need to cover up or conceal anything.
There's no need to hide or remain hidden.
It's time for no more hiding.
It's time for nomohi.
