"How much can I earn as a model?"
Frequently Asked Questions | Come for a Test Shoot | Contact
Right - listen up all potential models. There are many many different "types" of modelling. This page describes each type and where appropriate tells you how much you can earn.
It's REALLY important you understand the different styles of modelling, particularly the difference between, for example, "men's magazine" and what you'll find in the pages of FHM or MAXIM which surprisingly, isn't "men's magazine".
Rates below are quoted are per hour. Examples of each category (all shot here at nomohi, of course) follow, but if you're still in any doubt, or if you have any other questions about modelling, feel free to drop me a line.
Please note, we here at nomohi are only looking for girls who are willing to do at least men's magazine and preferably up to continental.
We don't do fashion, topless, or any clothed glamour. And no, we don't know anyone who does.
Follow the links at the bottom of the page for more information on modelling and our contact page.

Fashion photography is supposed to be all about the clothes or the product that you're advertising. This photograph is completely failing to do that, but then, we're not fashion photographers, we're glamour photographers. We don't do fashion.
Fashion photography appears mainly in.. {drum roll}.. fashion magazines !! We're talking glossy women's magazines.
Portrait photography would be the kind of pictures you'd see in Hello magazine.. ie. very flattering pictures of famous people.
Theoretically you can earn a lot as a fashion model. There are plenty of resources on the internet for becoming a fashion model, but this isn't one of them. Keep reading to find out what we do. |

Regular paid "glamour" work doesn't really exist any more.
Unless you're a TV celebrity, or you win a competition in FHM or MAXIM, it's unlikely you'll be offered money to pose in your swimsuit or undies.
That said, car or motorbike exhibitions and the like often require "glamour models" to walk around in a bikini and a sash handing out leaflets. If that sounds like fun then, erm, good luck with that.
In the meantime keep reading to find out what we do.

Ok, I don't really like the term "fetish". It always makes me think of chains, whips, rubber, and other bondage related stuff. Not that there's anything wrong with that kind of thing, it's just there's a whole world of other kinky stuff that's getting unfairly lumped in the same box.
Virtually anything can be a "fetish" if it's got a sexual bias. There are the usual favorites such as uniforms, upskirt shots, and thigh-high boots. Then there are the more unusual fetishes such as feet, women in big pants, women smoking, women with balloons. And before you assume all us guys are perverts can I just say one word: firemen. I rest my case.
In terms of 'flesh-per-square-inch', fetish doesn't necessarily mean revealing more than regular glamour.
In terms of "markets" for this kind of material the internet is probably the biggest consumer. If there's a fetish you'll find a website out there specialising in it.
We do do this kind of work - but it's rare that we would do a fetish shoot without asking the model to do at least "men's magazine" too. What's the difference? Keep reading.

Would you believe.. topless !
Possibility the most famous consumer of topless photography is of course Page 3 (of the Sun newspaper).
Sadly, though we'd love to shoot for page 3, we don't.
Keep reading to see what we do.

Right, now, pay attention. A lot of girls who contact me seem to get very confused about the difference between nude and "Men's Magazine".
Nude is, as the name suggests, no clothes ! However, sometimes it's called "tasteful nude" or "artistic nude" which I think is useful because it's very much, "no-knickers, but so what".
Take for instance Francesca to the left; she's clearly naked, and if you look very hard (and trust me, some visitors to this site will do just that) there's definitely a little tuft pubic hair down there. However, that's all you can see; just a little fluff.
This is the sort of picture you might find in Playboy, maybe even FHM etc. but it's NOT to be confused with traditional top-shelf men's magazines.
The other place you can earn money as a nude model is doing "life modelling" for artists.
So what the hell is "men's magazine" if it's NOT nude???
Finally.. you're asking the right questions...

"MENS MAGAZINE"- £40-£45 PER HOUR
|
Hurrah! Welcome to the world of the top shelf men's magazine where you can finally start earning money. And we're talking about anything between about £40 to £45 per hour.
If "nude" is "no-knickers, but so what", Men's Magazine is far less "so-what" and much, much more "look at what I've got !"
Take Jaffa here, clearly enjoying her shower. Or the pictures below, where she seems to have turned up to the office without any clothes. Well, who hasn't?
But oo, look - is that a vagina I can see?
Well, yes. Yes it is.
The truth is us chaps quite like vaginas. And why not, vaginas are very nice. Even the word is nice; Vagina. It sounds like a really nice place to go on your holidays. If you read about "Vagina" in a holiday brochure you might say, "Vagina - That sounds nice. Let's go there!"
But I digress.
If it makes you feel more comfortable we don't have to call it a vagina. We can use any other word you like. One model I know calls it her "mushka". Another her "bajingo". And another her "Fangita". Whatever works for you. Some girls use the phrase "open leg shot" which I personally can't stand, but I suppose it's as accurate as any other.
Doing Men's Magazine might seem a bit scary - but it's really not. It just takes a moment to get your head around it and realise that, when it comes down to it, what's the big deal about being naked.
I mean really?
If you've never done this type of modelling before, why not come along to a testshoot, go as far as nude (above) then see how you feel.
There's a LOT of work available in this category.
But wait! There's more! Keep reading...

"AMERICAN (MAGAZINE)" - £45-£50 PER HOUR
|
Short for "American Magazine"
So what it is about American Men's Magazines that differs to ours here in the UK? Well, truth is, these days, not a lot. But back in the "old days" American magazines went a little further than a girl with her legs parted.
Basically "American" means "parted labia", or "held open" shots. You'll also hear this described as "pink".
If you're still in any doubt, and you're not the sort of person who freaks out over pictures of nice vaginas, go ahead click the images to the right to remove the nomohi logo.
If you've never done this type of modelling before why not come along to a testshoot, go as far as men's magazine (above), then see how you feel.

"CONTINENTAL MAGAZINE" - £50-£60 PER HOUR
|
|
"Is it in yet?" Jojo enjoys her vibrator |
"Continental" modelling takes glamour about as far as you can go without stepping across that line into the world of "porn". Some would say we've already entered it.
Without putting too fine a point on it we're talking about fairly explicit "solo masturbation" here - either genuine or "faked". If you're happy to slip a finger or two, or a vibrator, or anything else, into your vagina, and all in front of the camera, then congratulations you're a "Continental Magazine" Glamour Model.
Still not sure what I mean? Want to see some examples? For those worldly wise, grown up ladies amongst you, clicking any of the images around here will remove the nomohi logo censorship.
As you can imagine, this kind of work is quite "intimate" - but it really isn't that different from a regular men's magazine shoot. We just use more lube. But it's still very professional; there's still a brief that we're working to. There are still deadlines, and lights, and pauses whilst we change film or batteries, and all that jazz. And whilst the girls might look like they're in the passionate throws of wild lustful abandon, it's really all just an act. It's theatre. Just with less clothes.
If you've never done this type of modelling before why not come along to a testshoot, go as far as American or Men's Magazine (above) and then see how you feel.

All lubed up. Yasmin and her flexible friend.

It's not all about vibrators and objects.
Fingers are fine too.
